Samuel L. Jackson
Samuel L. Jackson was an usher at the funeral of Martin Luther King in 1968, which led him to become active in the civil rights movement.
He is a long-term supporter of Artists for a New South Africa, which supported Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu in the fight agains Apartheid in South Africa. He supports numerous charities including Make a Wish Foundation, Elton John AIDS Foundation, the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, Rock for Darfur and others.
