You would have to be living under a rock to not know that Paul McCartney is one of the world’s most prominent supporters of PETA and of vegetarian lifestyles. But did you know that in 2000 Paul released A Garland for Linda, a tribute album for his wife, with all funds going to a fund to aid cancer patients?

He was also instrumental in organizing the Concert For New York City in 2001, performed at Live 8 in 2005, and is a patron of Adopt-a-Minefield to clear landmines in conflict and post conflict areas.
