Paul McCartney

Sir James Paul McCartney, CH, MBE is known first as the bass guitarist and singer for the Beatles, the most popular and influential group in the history of pop music. His songwriting partnership with John Lennon is the most celebrated of the post-war era. After the band’s break-up, he pursued a solo career and formed the band Wings with his first wife, Linda, and Denny Laine.

He is one of the most successful composers and performers of all time. He has used his celebrity  to promote international charities related to such subjects as animal rights, seal hunting, land mines, vegetarianism, poverty, and music education.

Paul shot a video for TheCommunity.com’s up coming campaign on The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and did a photo shoot with us for upcoming ads for the campaign.

Paul McCartney

You would have to be living under a rock to not know that Paul McCartney is one of the world’s most prominent supporters of PETA and of vegetarian lifestyles. But did you know that in 2000 Paul released A Garland for Linda, a tribute album for his wife, with all funds going to a fund to aid cancer patients?

He was also instrumental in organizing the Concert For New York City in 2001, performed at Live 8 in 2005, and is a patron of Adopt-a-Minefield to clear landmines in conflict and post conflict areas.
