Robert De Niro
Robert De Niro is easily one of the greatest actors of all time. He received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Godfather: Part II in 1974 and another for Best Actor for his role as Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull in 1980. Between 1976 and 1991 De Niro received Academy Award nominations for best actor in Taxi Driver , The Deer Hunter and Cape Fear.
A widely respected producer and director, De Niro organized the first Tribeca Film Festival in May 2002, to revitalize the Lower Manhattan area after the September 11 attacks. The event has since become a mainstay in the film industry.
