In a clip from TheCommunity.com's "What's so hard about Peace?" series, Nobel Laureate Joseph Rotblat talks to Michael Douglas about why he resigned from the Manhattan Project, where he had been working to develop the atom bomb.

Professor Rotblat was one of the world's first nuclear scientists, beginning his career in 1937. After resigning from the Manhattan Project on moral grounds, he spent the next fifty years working on nuclear disarmament.

Professor Rotblat won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1995. He passed away on August 31, 2005.
