Probably the most widespread complaint about human rights actions on China is that they “make no difference,” that the ruling party in China is “too strong, ” that “nothing can be done.”
We don’t agree.
After reading Desmond Tutu and Chen Guangcheng’s statement, there are at least four steps you can take which have the potetial for concrete results.

2. Share the petition with friends, colleagues, groups on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere. Get creative on how to share it and get the word out. Work with us, now and through the next year, to make this one of the largest petitions to ever take place.
3. Watch the trailer for Free China, and see the film. Free China is the story of two survivors of the Chinese laogai, or thought reform camps. Imprisoned for being practitioners of Falun Gong, a peaceful religious practice based on meditation, and Qigong (similar to Tai Chi), they emerged from their brutal treatment determined to do something about it. And they have. Find out what they are doing today to break down the Internet firewall in China, and ways you can help.
4. Pass the trailer on to friends so that they too are informed.
